The images you are about to see are slightly disturbing and very, very sad. On Tuesday, we had an unfortunate accident in our house which involved Gavin's little fingers and our sliding glass door. The first picture was taken the day after it happened. Not too bad....but the other 3 pictures were taken today. His fingers look so bad. I am not quite sure what to do. He doesn't seem to be in pain. It just breaks my heart.

Chloe just said, "Did they paint his toenails?"
Poor guy!!
Awww...poor little man. I don't think it looks broken but it does look really sore!!!! The nails are gonners for sure!
Oh...and can I just say...his hands look like the hands of a 12 year old...not a 2 year old!!!!
Thanks for the heads up. It just breaks your heart seeing him in that much pain. My sister's 2 year old recently fell on the fireplace glass with his two hands and burned them both really bad. It made me shed a tear to even hear about it. I hope your son is okay and doing well. They sure are tough! Bounce right back!
Ouch! I can't believe that! He's definitely going to lose those two nails, ouch! I am glad he's not in pain. Man! That looks like that hurt!
OUCH!!! poor gavin! give him lots of kisses for me!
I can't believe HOW bad that looks! We feel so bad. I'm sure it hasn't slowed him down much though - he has so much energy. We'll pray those fingers lose their black and blue color very soon! Poor little one!
Ouch, poor Gavin!!! That makes me cringe. That is so sad :( Hope they heal soon.
Oh wow! Poor little guy! I hope he's doing ok!
So...I've been stalking your blog secretly for a while. I've decided to let you know about it finally :)
Hope everyone is doing well! Miss you guys!
Geeeeezzzz!!! Dadgummit, that looks like it hurt like heck! I agree with everyone else who stated that those nails are soon to be goners... Bob accidently slammed Grace's finger in the van door last year with the same result (after taking her to the hospital to make sure nothing was broken). She was fine after a few days, but her finger continued to look nasty as the nail came off... It will heal. How's Mr. Gavin's spirit with all this?
I am happy to report that though his fingers looked terrible, they are now looking better. They are basically HUGE blood blisters that have popped and are healing. All in all, these fingers have not slowed Gavin down one bit. I think I have been more affected by them than he has!!
Poor little guy! Hope his fingers are getting better. Keep us posted.
